Avril Gown Rue De Seine Wedding Dress Trends 2017 2018

Just when you thought the dreamy whimsicality of wedding dress selections couldn’t get any more inventive, 2018 has turned up the heat.

From sexy cutouts and incredible capelets to jet-black accessories and billowed sleeves, the newest season’s designs are edgy, refined and adorned like nothing you’ve ever seen before.

Bare Shoulders

A timeless classic and regular on the runway, this year’s bare and off the shoulder styles are paired with sleek cutouts, lace embellishments and intricate designs. Making them one of our favourite revamped looks for 2018.

Back to Black

From all over black looks to touches of ebony in ribbons, hairpieces, shoes, jewellery and gloves, ebony bridal accessories are fiercely in this season. Highly contrasted with classic white wedding dresses, accessories are stepping away from the usual suspects of pastel lilacs and corals, and confidently strutting towards unapologetically bold black.

Capes & Capelets

Floor length cuts embellished with jewels and perfectly placed adornments, capes and capelets are giving this year’s bridal trends an extra sprinkle of glam. Outerwear for the adventurous bride, capes are creating interesting and alluring looks while maintaining sleek silhouettes. Who said anything about needing a veil?

Fringing & Feathers

Playful fringing and dramatic feathering are making shimmy-worthy comebacks this season. Dazzling rows of glimmering tassels and daringly wide flutes are new favourites on designer runways and these retro 1920s inspired vibes are killing it. All over feather or tassel embellishments create a unique style, unlikely to be forgotten.

Billowed Sleeves

Replacing asymmetric necklines and go-on-forever trains, the glam romantic feel of retro sleeves are taking centre stage this season. Reviving renaissance inspired looks and 70s flower child styles, this is one for the classic bride with an inner gypsy spirit.

Separates

Daring, sophisticated and oh so modern, separates give wedding gowns a whole new meaning. Cropped waist height and paired with flared princess skirts or fitted pencil styles, two pieces are setting the scene for new designs to come in 2018.

The farm with cattle, horses and the post and rail fence in the background frames the tipi’s which overlook the gardens and water, such a gorgeous view.
