Dany Mizrachi - Honeywed

Just when you thought the dreamy whimsicality of wedding dress selections couldn’t get any more inventive, 2017 has turned up the heat.

From sexy cutouts and incredible capelets to jet-black accessories and billowed sleeves, the newest season’s designs are edgy, refined and adorned like nothing you’ve ever seen before.

Bare Shoulders

A timeless classic and regular on the runway, this year’s bare and off the shoulder styles are paired with sleek cutouts, lace embellishments and intricate designs. Making them one of our favourite revamped looks for 2017 and 2018.

Back to Black

From all over black looks to touches of cobalt in ribbons, hairpieces, shoes, jewellery and gloves, ebony bridal accessories are fiercely in this season. Highly contrasted with classic white wedding dresses, accessories are stepping away from the usual suspects of pastel lilacs and corals, and confidently strutting towards unapologetically bold black.

Fringing & Feathers

Playful fringing and dramatic feathering are making shimmy-worthy comebacks this season. Dazzling rows of glimmering tassels and daringly wide flutes are new favourites on designer runways and these retro 1920s inspired vibes are killing it. All over feather or tassel embellishments create a unique style, unlikely to be forgotten.

THE FARMHOUSE: Graciosa farmhouse is a luxurious and relaxed retreat, a 2-minute drive to Bangalow cafes and shopping and a 7-minute drive to the pristine beaches of Byron Bay. This grand, classic home features five double bedrooms and two bathrooms set against a crisp white back drop and layered with a glamorous yet comfortable interior. The 10-metre swimming pool, overlooking Bangalow town, sparkles like a jewel and the open sandstone cabana offers a lovely space to entertain, relax and enjoy the sunshine the region is known for. Adding to the interior are all of the luxurious staples one would expect of a home of this standard. Flat screen TV, iPod docking station, crisp cotton bedlinen, feather and down pillows, fluffy towels, robes and gorgeous bathroom products.

THE BAMBOO ARCH AND BARN: Only 50 metres from the Farm House you will find The Barn – with French doors, stained glass windows and pressed metal though out, an incredible space in which to hold your reception. The Barn has an industrial, rustic charm and opens to show more magnificent views of the countryside. It provides a perfect blank canvas to style the wedding reception of your dreams.

In between the Farmhouse and the Barn is the Natural bamboo archway. This spectacular position takes in views of the surrounding rolling hills. The ultimate position to exchange your vows or capture the perfect light-drenched photos as the sun sets behind the Hinterland.

Forget Me Not

Forget Me Not Weddings is the ultimate country destination situated in the Byron Bay hinterland, 10 minutes from Byron Bay and 5 minutes to boutique Bangalow.

On a scenic hundred acre working cattle farm, it is very private and tranquil. Overlooking a large lake with water lilies and a little row boat beside an old wooden jetty. Surrounded by prizewinning gardens and rainforest plantings. Turn a corner and find another secret spot, relax and listen to the running water of the natural little waterfalls amongst the rainforest.

Choices of ceremony spots, maybe overlooking the water or under the shade of the trees perhaps in front of the private outdoor chapel?

There is a large level grassed area to have your tipi’s or marquee. The site can comfortably accommodate 300 guests. A toilet block with rustic exterior and 5 star interior is provided. The farm with cattle, horses and the post and rail fence in the background frames the tipi’s which overlook the gardens and water, such a gorgeous view. As night falls, the atmosphere changes with all the lights reflecting onto the water. A magical place.

For the smaller wedding there is an undercover deck beside the homestead pool. This caters for about 36 seated or 50 standing guests and is a spectacular setting for canapés.

Our accommodation is an ideal place for your wedding party to get ready. It is also a special place to relax, reflect and enjoy after your special day. Beautifully furnished with period pieces. Air-conditioned bedroom with a comfortable iron bed. The accommodation includes an amazing western-styled saloon bar with billiards table, pinball machine and arcade system. Contains a separate bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. There is a swimming pool, undercover deck and BBQ area, even an outdoor fire pit to keep the night warm and cosy. Sleeps 2-4 with one queen size bed and an extra double bed if required.

Forget Me Not Farm is a truly beautiful country location and is both private and spectacular. This is the ideal place for your destination wedding.

I would love to be able to share it for your special day.
